Peter G. Wilson, 69

Middle River – Peter G Wilson, age 69, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2018 at his home in Middle River after a two year battle with cancer.  He was surrounded by love and support from his family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Pete’s life at a gathering on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 12 noon at Minnehaha State Park in Minneapolis. The family annually gathers for the Scandinavian Summer Fest in the park and this year at this event we will honor Pete!! Look for the family at picnic tables north of the shelter – near the Sea Salt Eatery.
Also, a memorial service to honor Peter, in his beloved north country, will take place on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Thief Lake – 40249 240th Avenue NE Middle River, Minnesota 56737.
Pete had a life-long love of music and regularly played guitar and sang with friends and family. He was an avid traveler on Amtrak and found pleasure in his work at Arctic Cat / Textron. He will be remembered for his unwavering generosity, kind soul, and sense of humor.
Peter is survived by his children: Tom Gregerson (Christine), Naomi Rauch (Steve), and Natalie Postel (Greg) and grandchildren: Jacob (Gregerson), Emily, Addie, Benji (Rauch) and Bella (Postel). He is also survived by sisters Diane Arneson (Dick) and Nancy Ankeny (Ron), nieces and nephews Erik Arneson, Jeff Ankeny (Maria), and Nicole Ankeny, and great nephews Devin and Andrew Ankeny.
Peter was preceded in death by his mother, Audrey Keith Wilson Kimpe, and his father, Howard Edward Wilson.
