Detroit Lakes’ potent ground attack was too much for Thief River Falls in the Prowlers’ home opener Friday night at Swenson Field. The visiting Lakers racked up 453 yards on 37 carries in a 61-0 win over the Prowlers.
Isaiah Thompson led the Lakers with 115 yards on just five carries. He accounted for both of Detroit Lakes’ first quarter scores.
Thief River Falls, meanwhile, couldn’t get anything going. The Prowlers punted eight times on the night, lost three fumbles and were held to just 41 yards of total offense.
