The Thief River Falls Touchdown Club recently announced the purchase of new reversible jerseys for all football players in grades 7 and 8 this fall, along with black pants with built-in pads for each student athlete in grades 6-8.
The new sublimated jerseys and pants replace worn-out uniforms that are approximately 15 years old. The new jerseys have a 10-year life expectancy and, because they are sublimated and reversible, individual jerseys can be replaced as needed.
A total of 70 reversible jerseys and 100 pairs of black football pants will be purchased at an approximate cost of $10,000. Helping to make the purchase possible were $2,500 donations from both the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2793 and American Legion Post 117.
“The Touchdown Club and Prowler football truly appreciate the donations from our local community and see great things in the future for Prowler Football,” said Jonathan Pream, Touchdown Club president.
The uniforms will be purchased through Legends Sporting Goods.
“Since our fruition again in the spring of 2021, we have kept it local between Universal and Legends for all of our needs,” said Sean Sorteberg, Touchdown Club vice president.
