Bob Mitchell, Steelsville, Mo., went 4-for-4 in ride attempts and came home with the top two spots in the two-night 2024 Thunder on Hooves PBR event.
The majority of this year’s riders were double entered both nights, but Mitchell was the only rider to complete two rides in a single night and he accomplished the feat twice.
He led the competition with an aggregate score of 135.00 after scoring rides of 74.5 and 60.5 on Friday night. On Saturday, he bested his own two-ride total with an 82.0 and an 86.5 for a winning score of 168.50.
Third place in the event went to Julio Cesar Marques of Tatuí, SP, Brazil, and Alex Cerqueira of Iguatemi, MS, Brazil with each completing a ride worth 84.0.
