Thief River Falls swept Win-E-Mac 3-0 in a non-conference volleyball match to pick up win number eight Thursday night at the Lincoln High School Brickhouse.

The Prowlers outlasted the Patriots to claim the opening set 25-19, before cruising to a pair of 25-12 wins in the second and third sets to complete the sweep.

“The girls played well against Win-E-Mac,” said Thief River Head Coach Hannah Lund. “I thought they stayed consistent, and even played better as the game went on, which showed in the final points.”

Thirty of the Prowlers’ points came from kills, with senior Avah Waldal leading the way with seven. Setters Sophia Tougas and Lila Dalager combined for 26 kills with each recording 13 on the night.

The Prowlers scored an impressive 12 points on service aces, led by five from Dalager.
“We have some great servers that are getting us a lot of aces, but still working on minimizing the amount of missed serves as well,” Lund said.
