Thief River Falls swam to a fifth place finish at the Girls Section 8A True Team Swimming Meet held Saturday at Warroad High School.
Fergus Falls won the eight-team event to advance to the True Team State Meet, which is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 16 at the University of Minnesota. The Otters won four individual races and a pair of relays on their way to taking the team championship.
Highlights for the Prowlers included top-eight finishes from Natalia Zoller, fifth in the 100 freestyle and eighth in the 200 IM; Faith Hartmann, sixth in the 200 freestyle and eighth in the 100 backstroke; and Elise Schneider, seventh in the 50 freestyle.
In relay action, the Prowlers got a third place finish from the team of Shelby Green, Schneider, Hartmann and Natalia Zoller in the 200 freestyle relay. Green, Schneider, Hartmann and Zoller were together again for the 400 freestyle relay, where they took home an eighth place finish.
