For the first time in program history, Thief River Falls has claimed tournament championships in both the boys and girls varsity and boys junior varsity divisions at the Prowler Invite.

The Thief River Falls girls team won the tournament for the first time in program history Friday afternoon. The Prowler Invite first offered a girls varsity tournament in 2023. The Prowlers finished third in 2023 and second in both 2024 and 2025.

The team title was the first since 2024 for the Prowler boys team and sixth (2008, 2009, 2010, 2017 and 2024 and 2026) since the tournament began in 2007. The Prowler boys varsity team finished fourth in 2025 and second in 2023.

Thief River Falls won the boys JV tournament in 2024 after finishing second in 2023. The boys JV team finished sixth in 2025.

“I think it shows the overall depth of our wrestling program right now,” said Boys Head Coach Kenny Geiser. “We have a lot of people who have been involved for a long time building this program to get to this point. So for me, I feel a great sense of pride in what the wrestling community has accomplished
