Ellie Klein made sure her minnow made it to the finish line first on Sunday, Feb. 9 during the 63rd Annual Knights of Columbus Fishing Derby in Thief River Falls. Due to the instability of ice on both the Thief and Red Lake rivers, the event was instead held inside St. Bernard’s Catholic Church this year. The event featured kids’ games as well as bingo for the adults.
