 Grygla – Ione Aune, 77, died Saturday, May 6, 2006 at her home in Grygla.
  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 12,  at United Lutheran Church in Gatzke, with Rev. Mary Gilthvedt officiating. Casket bearers included Emily Dunston, Keith Hagen, Elizabeth Eberbach, Laurel Cox, Irvin Hagen, Glenda Redinger and Jennifer Wendlandt. Interment will be held at Moose River Cemetery in Gatzke.
  Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls,  with a 7 p.m. prayer service with Pastor Bill Nixon and for one hour prior to service at the church, Friday.
  Ione Alice Peterson was born June 28, 1928 in Gatzke, the daughter of Albert and Ida (Taie) Peterson. She attended District 122 Country School near Gatzke. She also attended Crookston Agricultural College, graduating March of 1945 at the age of 16.
  On April 17, 1945, Ione was united in marriage to Ralph Hagen.  They were members of the Middle River Seventh Day Adventist Church and made their home in Rollis Township near Gatzke.  Ralph died February 13, 1982. 
  Ione married Olaf Aune June 23, 1984. They made their home in Grygla, where they were members of United Lutheran Church in Gatzke. Olaf died June 26, 1990.  Ione worked in Thief River Falls at the turkey plant, Arctic Cat, the Café in Gatzke and also cooked at Flag Island Resort.
  She was a former member of Middle River Seventh-day Adventist Church and currently a member of United Lutheran Church, where she was very active.  Ione was very civic minded and was a member of the Lioness and VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, embroidery, watching Twins Baseball, music and playing piano.  
  Ione is survived by children: Emily Jean (Loren) Dunston of Tracy, Calif., Keith Barry (Shirley) Hagen of Gatzke, Elizabeth Nadine (Charlie) Eberbach of Sisseton, S.D., Laurel Lee (Roger) Cox of Colville, Wash., Irvin Edward (Jane) Hagen of Proctor, Glenda Frances (Dale) Redinger of Thief River Falls and Jennifer Ione (Gary) Wendlandt of Woodbury; eight step-children, Janis (Floyd) Jesme of Thief River Falls, Gerald (Val) Aune of Grygla, Orrin (Jackie) Aune of Glenwood, Mavis (Dale) Newton of Thief River Falls, Jay Aune of Gatzke, Raymond (Sue) Aune of Gatzke,  Lyle (Julie) Aune of Anchorage, Alaska and Connie (Roger) Graff of Anchorage, Alaska; 21 grandchildren; 23 step-grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 48 step-great-grandchildren; four step-great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Peterson of Middle River and Grace (Glenn) Lunsetter of Gatzke; and many relatives and friends.
  She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Ralph Hagen and Olaf Aune; sons, Ramon and Bruce; brothers, Lyle in childhood and Rodney; and sister, Helen Loken.  A00003B2006MY10
