Bemidji – Ragna Louise Torkelson Terry, 90, of Bemidji died Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji.
    Funeral services were held on  Friday, April 27 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bemidji, with Bishop Anthony Murphy officiating. Interment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Bemidji. Honorary casket bearers included Cindy Habedank, Shannon Openshaw, Dorothy Smith, Rose LaDuke, Lorraine Nyberg , Claudet Kacena, Bemidji Ward Relief Society and the Havenwood Care Center Nursing Staff. Casket bearers included Allan Habedank, Kerry Openshaw, Myron Nyberg, Lee LaDuke, Chuck Hagen and Bill Canada.
    Ragna was born December 7, 1916, in Thief River Falls to Anfin and Annette Sophie Loken Torkelson. She grew up on a farm near Thief River Falls and learned to make lefse and hardtack. She married George Frank Terry on May 8, 1943 in Bemidji.
    Ragna was a faithful and active member of her church serving in the Primary and Relief Society organizations, and enjoyed her participation at the LDS temple. Ragna had a great love for music and served as church chorister for many years. She enjoyed serving people and assisted in the Beauty Shop at Havenwood Care Center for many years.
    Ragna is survived by her two sisters, Agnes Hanson of Buffalo and Mabel Torkelson of Thief River Falls.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers, Thorvald, Ludvig and Oscar, and two sisters, Sophia Lowe Helglund and Rose Torkelson.
