RISE Adult Day Services to open

RISE Adult Day Services is currently accepting participants and can begin services as soon as needed in Thief River Falls.

RISE Adult Day Services is for individuals over the age of 55 who are seeking greater social engagement and structure and for caregivers seeking daytime support for their loved ones. Its mission is to promote healthy aging and independence, allowing participants to remain active members of their family and community. RISE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services.

The services include nutritious meal and snacks, structured daily exercises, social and educational activities, medication assistance, oversight and guidance from a registered nurse and physical therapist, transportation to/from the program, and a safe environment, providing caregivers peace of mind.

Program fees vary by individual needs, through private pay and potential assistance through Medicaid waiver programs, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and long-term care insurance.

RISE is licensed to support 24 participants in its current space. It is located at 211 Arnold Ave. N., Suite B, sharing a space inside the Free Church. It will be open Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will be closed holidays and weekends. Scheduling is flexible allowing full-time, part-time or drop-in care.
