Greenbush – Bernadette Ann (Pulczinski) Reese, 78, went to receive her heavenly reward on April 18, 2016 at the age of 78 years, 4 months and 15 days. She passed away peacefully in her home in Greenbush, surrounded by the tremendous love of her family.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Sunday, April 24, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Greenbush with Fa. Luis Buitron presiding.
Bernadette was born to Vincent and Frances Pulczinski on Dec. 3rd, 1937. She was raised and attended school in rural Greenbush until the 8th grade after which she went to help on the family farm, earning her GED later in life. Bernadette fell in love with Hector Reese, the annoying and persistent man who frequented her table at the M&Q café. They were married on Tuesday July 5th, 1955 and spent the next 61 years as a shining example of love and commitment. Faith and family were the cornerstones of Bernadette’s life and she devoted herself to her many children and grandchildren.
She was a creative genius, a skilled seamstress, fashionista, cheerleader, chauffer, councilor and chef, earning the title “Grandma Banana Bread”. She loved to entertain and was certainly the hostess with the most-est! She is quite frankly the greatest woman we have known. She leaves behind an awesome legacy and will be deeply missed. Those who knew her often heard her say “I Love You MORE”, but the depth of our love for her cannot be measured. Bernadette passed away in her home on Monday April 18th, surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her husband of almost 61 years, Hector Reese Sr.; her children: Wende (Tim) Wehner, Harrisonville, Mo., Cindy Hagen, Greenbush, Jody (Bill) Stusynski, Dayton, Pam (Danny) Dybedahl, Malung, Hector (Josephine) Reese, Ottertail, Paula (Dennis) Filer, Greenbush, Andrew (Stacy) Reese, Greenbush, Gretchen (Brian) Berg, Greenbush, Mark (Christine) Reese, Roseau, Jeremy (Jamie) Reese, Karlstad, Rachel (Rick) Stotts, Moorhead, Benjamin (Erica) Reese, Karlstad, Bridget (Kurt) Stenberg, Greenbush, Jessica (Brandon) Kuznia, Greenbush, Kara (Erik) Heggedal, Greenbush, Merri (Nick) Vacura, Greenbush, Vanessa (Joel) Bedow, Tyler; 55 Grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; Siblings: Henry, Marie, Paulette, Betty, Janice, Marcie and Joette.
