Jean Hagl passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Metropolitan Heart and Vascular Center (Mercy Hospital) in Coon Rapids, MN at the age of 80 years young surrounded by her family. Her memory will stay etched in our hearts forever.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Red Lake Falls, MN. Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Red Lake Falls, MN.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Friday, May 27, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Red Lake Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Jean was born on December 1, 1935 in Thief River Falls, MN the daughter of Raymond & Gladys (Peterson) Johanneck. She was raised in the area and graduated from Lafayette High School. Jean was united in marriage to Donald Frank Hagl on September 17, 1955 and where the couple lived and farmed in rural Red Lake Falls. Jean work as a teller in the local bank during her early years of their marriage.
Jean was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, St. Joseph's Guild, American Legion Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters of America and St. Anne's Society.
Jean was an avid sports fan. She loved going to all her children's football, basketball and volleyball games, track meets and many other activities. After her children graduated, she spent much of her time gardening and taking care of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed working at the American Legion Club in Red Lake Falls for many years. Family was always where Jean was the happiest. Family was everything to her.
Jean is survived by her 7 children: Timothy and wife Janet of Red Lake Falls, Pamela and husband Todd of Ramsey, Susan and husband Larry of Hawley, Mark of Red Lake Falls, Lori and husband Neal of Gentilly, MN, Michael and wife Sabrina of Twin Falls, ID and Peter and wife Lori of Red Lake Falls; 16 grandchildren: Sarah, Angie, Lisa, Stephanie, Katie, Andrew, Amy, Eric, Kayla, Austin, Chase, Benjamin, Alexandria, Christopher, Nicole and Beth; 11 great grandchildren: Emma, Matthew, Joshua, Sophia, Myles, Harper, Nicholas, Mandy, Luke, Cora and baby Jordan; siblings Gerald (Jacqueline) Johanneck, Oak Creek, WI, Herbert (Lois) Johanneck, Carol Audette and James (Waivel) Johanneck, all of Red Lake Falls, MN and Joseph Johanneck, Moorhead, MN along with several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by husband, Donald, in 1997; one brother John; one sister, Marion; parents; brother-in-law, LeRoy Audette.
