St. Hilaire – Elizabeth Jean Sourdif, 60, of St. Hilaire, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.
On November 18, 1961 Liz was born to Darlene Barclay at Warroad. She attended school in Warroad. On November 17, 1991 Liz was united in marriage to the love of her life, Larry Sourdif, at the Assembly of God Church in Thief River Falls.
Liz was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She had an “open-door policy” for humans and animals, caring for everyone. Sewing, quilting, crocheting, embroidering, camping, fishing, and reading were dear to Liz. Her deep love and joy was spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Liz made a point to spend personal time with each person.
Elizabeth is survived by her children, Angela (Ramiro), Sarah (Thomas), Krystal (Jason), Denise (Tom), and Kari; grandchildren, Cameron, Martika, Anthony, JeAnna, Zachariah, Kion, Aiden, Peyton, TyAisa, and Avery Jr.; brothers, Dennis Barclay and Bob Okerlund; sister, Lois Barclay; mother-in-law, Loretta Sourdif; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rosalyn Sourdif, Pat (Richard) Moen, Susie (Jim) Bevel, Sandy Lubitz, Wayne (Susie) Sourdif, Donny Sourdif, and Al (Sherry) Liedberg; aunts, Sharon Lane-Eckert, and Diane Brenhaug-Haffley; uncle, Charles “Buddy” Barclay; and many family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry; in-laws, Gordon Sourdif, John Lubitz, and Joyce Liedberg.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls.
Visitation is on Friday, January 7, 2022, from 5-7 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Burial will be at a later date.
