Delyne Helen Felling was born February 20, 1954 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Luverne Bernard and Theresa Dellas (Robidoux) Felling. She was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic faith. Growing up, she attended multiple different schools around the world with her father serving in the United States Army. She graduated from Pershing High School in Plummer, with the class of 1972.
Delyne worked at the Co-op Store in Red Lake Falls, Post Office in Plummer, Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls and retired from Customer Service at Digi-Key in Thief River Falls after 26 years of service in 2019.
Delyne was united in marriage to Kenneth Waldal and to this union three sons were born: Shayne, Scott and Nicholas. She was so proud of the men they have become and bringing the three daughters she never had into her life. They were the focus of her life, that is, until her grandchildren arrived.
In 2006, Delyne’s world changed when she became a grandma. She loved spending time with her six grandchildren out on the farm and often times going on adventures. At grandma’s, the kids always knew they would have ice cream for breakfast and get whipped cream sprayed in their mouths. She never hesitated to spend time with them. They were her “Besties.”
Delyne was known for her cowgirl approach to life – raising multiple horses and being independent. She loved spending time outdoors and took great pride in her beautiful farm, that she shared with her dedicated pets. She also enjoyed working at auction sales and collecting “loot,” along with cooking for an army, and vacationing with her closest friends.
Survivors include her sons, Shayne (Jodi) Waldal of Union Grove, WI, Scott (Heather) Waldal of Thief River Falls and Nicholas (Annie) Waldal of Crookston; grandchildren, Avah, Austin, Lincoln, Jackson, Brooklyn and Lane; brother, Ken Felling of Dallas, TX; sister, Cheryl (Don) Scott of Thief River Falls; sister, Kim (David) Panozzo of Scottsdale, AZ; nieces and nephews, Ivan (Cheryl) Hirst, Erica Gates, Delanie Rosten, Heath (Sarah) Rosten, Courtney (Tim) Wiser, and Nicole Panozzo; several great-nieces and nephews; her beloved dog, Rodeo; her beloved cat, Tinkerbell; and many other relatives and friends.
