– Lois Millie Daniels Bray, age 88, passed away on February 26, 2023.
Born on September 4, 1934 in Bertha, MN to James and Ruth Daniels, she married her only love, Jerome Bray, in 1953 who preceded her in death on October 7, 2022.
Lois’s desire to learn and serve was evident in rearing her children, then taking in foster children and ultimately earning her RN degree, working in Home Health, joining Jerome to serve others in Nepal and Guam, and assisting many students on their education journey.
She loved sharing her joy and caring for others by making goodie packages for kids and bringing laughter to those with whom she interacted. Lois’s appreciation and love of music were joyously evident by her playing the piano, singing, and listening to her favorite music.
Lois was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, an avid writer, and had several published articles and volunteered with Prison ministries for many years. Lifting other people’s spirits suited her servant’s heart.
Lois is survived by her children, Bruce Bray and spouse Karen, Bryce Bray, Jeri Lyn Grindley, and Laura Bray and spouse Cassie Law; nine grandchildren, Melissa, Thomas, Brian, David, Becky, Greg, Rachel, Andrew and Bryson; plus 14 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Marilyn Wallace; brother-in-law, Bill Fuller; and nine nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of life in Thief River Falls this year. The family will be providing details at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dr. Jerome Bray, MD and Lois Bray RN Nursing Scholarship Endowment Fund at Thief River Falls Northland Community and Technical College. To donate, go to https://nctcfoundation.ddock.gives/
