Mandan, ND – Justin Douglas Disterhaupt passed away on January 16, 2024, at his home in Mandan, ND, from a pulmonary embolism.
Justin is the son of Doug and Jodi Disterhaupt who was born in Thief River Falls, on December 27, 1980. He was baptized and confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. Justin graduated from Lincoln High School in 1999 and graduated from Concordia College in 2003.
While at Concordia, he met the love of his life, Jennifer. After college Justin moved to Minneapolis and worked for US Bank. Justin and Jennifer married in Minneapolis on September 12, 2009 in an apple orchard. Nine years ago, Jennifer and Justin moved to Mandan, ND.
Justin was a partner in AGS, served on the advisory board for Bismark Prairie Heights Church, and Exalted Ruler for the Bismark Mandan Elks 1199. He served as a trustee at the Elks until his death.
Justin always made the annual trip back home to deer hunt with his dad and nephews, whom he loved very much. He was an avid smoker of meats, loved building anything with Legos, enjoyed being Top Rod fishing, and going to the zoo.
Justin is survived by his wife, Jenn; parents, Jodi and Doug; his sister, Sara Lunke and her husband, Brad; and nephews, Wyatt, Izeck, Ty and Tucker (Brooklyn Melcher); many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and godparents, Stan and Jennifer Springsteen.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Raymond and Grace Ortloff; and paternal grandparents, Frank and JoAnn Disterhaupt.
