    Thief River Falls – Shirley Timm, 81, of Thief River Falls, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Sanford Hospital in Thief River Falls.
    Funeral services were held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls. Burial followed at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls.
    Shirley A. Anderson was born February 17, 1936 in Warren, the daughter of George and Alice (Doran) Anderson. She attended Northrup Elementary, Knox Elementary, and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1953.  
    Shirley was employed at Main Sandwich Shop and then at Oakland Park Sanitarium, both in Thief River Falls.
    On February 27, 1954, Shirley was united in marriage to Fred “Fritz” Timm in Crookston. The couple made their home on the Timm Family Farm in Rockbury Township and lived there until 1967, when they sold the farm and moved to town.
    Rheumatic fever kept Shirley in bed from December 15, 1967 until April 20, 1968.  In the fall of 1968, Shirley started working at Arctic Cat until 1981.  In July of 1983, she started again at Arctic Cat and worked until retirement.
    In the summer they farmed and in the winter Shirley and Fritz enjoyed hunting fox, deer, rabbits, etc., crocheting, taking pictures of storm clouds, flowers, etc. and mainly just enjoying the outdoors.
    Shirley also had a passion for antique hunting with her Mom. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls.
    Survivors include her daughter, Vicki (Carl) Kroetsch, Grand Forks, ND; 3 grandchildren: Kristoffer (Kim) Kroetsch, Aaron (fiancée, Melissa Bunkowske) Kroetsch and Philip (Susie) Kroetsch; great-grandchilden, Rory Kroetsch, Sydnie Kroetsch, Duncan Kroetsch, and Zoe Kroetsch; and sister, Margaret (Kenneth) Ose, Thief River Falls.
    Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Fritz in 1995; her sister, Deloris Anderson in 1940; and her brother Eugene Anderson.
